Marketing and Sales: Buckle Inc' & Hidden

This portfolio highlights the skills I developed during my Buckle internship, where I gained experience in sales, marketing, and management. From visual merchandising to adapting strategies for diverse audiences, I built a strong foundation for future marketing and leadership roles.

Project Management & Tasks

During my internship, I focused on Hidden Denim, a Buckle brand since 2015. By aligning marketing strategies with the brand’s identity and emphasizing its unique qualities, I helped strengthen its connection with customers. Hidden’s mix of trendy and classic fits reflects my own style, making it the perfect brand to highlight while showcasing how effective positioning can drive engagement and sales.

  • Creating effective training materials was essential to ensuring team members were well-equipped with the knowledge and skills they needed. The following outlines the key steps I used to design impactful and engaging learning modules tailored to a fashion retail project.

  • I started by thoroughly understanding the product details, such as fit, style, and unique features. This foundational knowledge proved crucial for creating accurate and relevant training content. I organized the information into clear, digestible sections that could be easily communicated to the team. Using the denim fit guide, I reviewed Hidden's different fits and styles to ensure a comprehensive grasp of the product range.

  • I developed interactive activities like role-playing and scenario-based exercises to make the learning process engaging. These activities helped team members apply their knowledge in practical situations. I incorporated a mix of learning methods, such as role plays, styling different outfits that catered to various styles, and fit demonstrations, which all addressed the different learning styles of the team while also keeping the training dynamic.

  • Ensured teammate comfort by introducing Hidden Denim styles to guests in a welcoming way.

Regularly evaluated denim placement to optimize visibility and sales.

Educated guests on Hidden’s unique styles and incorporated brand storytelling into shared materials.

Facilitated Learn It, Share It, Try-On sessions with teammates to build product knowledge.

Supported teammates in introducing Hidden to their guests, amplifying overall brand exposure.

Applied sales tactics on the floor, including power statements, product demonstrations, and guest connection strategies.

Maintained visually appealing, organized, and guest-friendly merchandise displays.
